eBird - Traveling Count, 229mins, 10:19 AMWalrus tour to Boreabukte where we saw some glacial ice in the bay and glaciers at the edge of the bay. 12 walruses in the water, all male + at least 10 hauled out on the beach. We observed one walrus in the sheltered bay use his tusks to start the climb onto the ice pack, but once his flippers were on the shelf, it fell apart with his weight. This walrus and a second swam very close together, sometimes with their sides touching.
